About Crestwood, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Crestwood, Illinois is a Cook County village with a population of nearly 11,000 residents. Crestwood is made up of 3.07 square miles of total area, almost all of which consists of land. The community is served by the Posen-Robbins School District, and most students attend high school at Alan B. Shepard High School in nearby Palos Heights. This community is known in Chicagoland for its minimal government and low taxes, but controversy erupted in 2009 when the Chicago Tribune reported that the low taxes were due to illegal activities involving supplementing drinking water with contaminated well water.

Despite its modest size, there are a variety of unique attractions available in Crestwood. Entertainment options include Hollywood Park, which offers bumper cars, go carts, an arcade, and rock climbing wall. The AMC Loews Crestwood 18 shows all the newest and most popular movies, and the Windy City Thunderbolts play at Standard Bank Stadium. Visitors who are hoping to press their luck may enjoy the Four Winds Casino Shuttle, and outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy relaxing at Walker Park or one of the village’s other natural areas. Nightlife and bars are also available here, including Pocket Billiards and The Brazen Head.

Crestwood residents will experience a variety of weather patterns throughout a single year. Summers are usually quite hot and humid, and temperatures will enter the 90s on an average of 21 days during the season. With humidity levels, conditions can feel even warmer, so an air conditioning system is necessary in order to make it through these hot and uncomfortable days. While humidity is low and temperatures are mild during the fall, the winter can be another weather extreme, as conditions are quite cold and snowy. In January, the normal temperature does not reach the freezing point, so a furnace or heat pump is needed to keep residents safe and to prevent pipes from freezing.
