About Burbank, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Burbank is a Chicago, Illinois suburb located in Cook County. As of 2010, the population of this community was approaching 29,000. Burbank is located two miles to the south of Chicago Midway Airport, and the city shares boundaries with Hometown, Bedford Park, Bridgeview, and Oak Lawn. While the community was first settled in the mid-1800s, it wasn’t incorporated until 1970. By that time, the population had already exceeded 20,000 people due to massive development that had occurred within the area.

Burbank residents always have something to do when living in this community, and its location near the airport makes it a popular destination for tourists. The Haunted Trails Family Amusement Park is a fun place for families to visit with children, especially around Halloween. Many people choose to host their weddings and other events in this community, and venues include Crystal Light Banquets, Burbank Manor Hall, and the Martinique Banquet Complex. Residents also take advantage of outdoor recreation since they are away from the city, and popular parks include Newcastle Park, Fitzgerald Park, Stevenson Park, and Rice Park.

Burbank residents will experience a variety of weather patterns throughout the year. While the spring and fall months usually have mild temperatures with low humidity, the winter months can be harsh. In January, the average temperature doesn’t even reach the freezing point, so a heat pump or furnace is needed to keep Burbank residents safe and warm.

Summers bring another temperature extreme, as they are hot and humid. Average highs reach the 90s more than 20 days each season, and with high humidity levels, it is not uncommon for conditions to feel warmer than that. These weather patterns make it important to have an air conditioner in place, especially for homes with children and the elderly present, as they can be most susceptible to heat-related illnesses.
