About Brookfield, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Brookfield is a Chicago, Illinois suburb located in Cook County. It is located 13 miles west of Chicago’s downtown area and has a population of nearly 19,000 residents. While much of the community consists of flat land, there are a variety of oak savannas located along Salt Creek, and these oak savannas serve as the main ecosystem of Brookfield. There are three Metra stations located in the Brookfield area, and they provide daily transportation between Aurora and Chicago. This allows many Brookfield residents to commute to their jobs in the city.

The Brookfield Zoo is easily the most popular attraction in this community. This zoo is well known for using ditches and moats instead of cages to separate visitors from the animals. The Seven Seas exhibit features dolphins, while the Tropic World jungle is home to anteaters, gorillas, and monkeys. Other popular animals that call the zoo home are polar bears, giraffes, tigers, and camels.

In addition to the zoo, there are a few other notable attractions located in Brookfield. The Galloping Ghost is a unique arcade and entertainment center. However, visitors who may enjoy more adult entertainment may prefer a night out at the Salt Creek Wine Bar. Outdoor enthusiasts might also enjoy checking out Jaycee Ehlert Park and North Kiwanis Park.

Brookfield is a great community to enjoy the great outdoors during the spring months, as the weather during this time is mild with low humidity levels. While residents may enjoy the fresh air and will keep their windows open during these months, these comfortable conditions give way to a very hot and humid summer. Temperatures frequently exceed 90 degrees, so residents rely on their air conditioning system to keep their home at a more livable temperature. On the other hand, winters are quite cold and snowy, and since temperatures are usually below the freezing point during the month of January, an efficient heat pump or furnace is a necessity to keep residents comfortable and safe.
