About Bridgeview, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Located in Cook County, Illinois, Bridgeview is a village with a population of about 16,500 people. The community is located about 13 miles from the Chicago Loop, and it borders Oak Lawn, Palos Hills, Nottingham Park, Burbank, and several other Chicago suburbs. Bridgeview was originally incorporated n 1947, and at that time the population was only 500. This village is known for its growing Arab American population, and Harlem Avenue is the major center of cultural life for these residents.
Bridgeview is home to several attractions that might appeal to residents or visitors. The Bridgeview Sports Dome is the community’s most popular recreational area, and El-Mar Bowl is a great destination for spending a night out or hosting a child’s birthday party. Large gatherings and other parties are often held at Nikos or Paradise Elegant Banquets.
The close proximity of Chicago to Bridgeview also makes it easy for residents to get to the city’s top attractions. Families with children often enjoy visiting the Shedd Aquarium and their popular beluga whale exhibit, while baseball fans can watch a game during the summer at Wrigley Field. The Chicago Theatre and the Art Institute of Chicago are also among the community’s most popular tourist stops.
Bridgeview residents will experience a variety of weather patterns throughout the year. Summers are usually quite hot and humid, and temperatures will reach the 90s on an average of 21 days throughout the season. With such high humidity levels, conditions can feel even warmer, so an air conditioning system is needed in order to make it through these uncomfortable days. While humidity is typically low and temperatures are mild during the fall, the winter months can bring another weather extreme, as conditions are quite cold and snowy. In January, the average temperature does not reach the freezing point, so a heat pump or furnace is needed to keep Bridgeview residents safe and to prevent plumbing and pipes from freezing.
